Sanitation & Recycling

Residents of the Town of Thorntown are responsible for obtaining trash collection through an outside waste management company. 

Most trash and debris, when properly bundled and/or contained properly, can be disposed of at curbside with your regular garbage service days. If assistance is needed or you have questions for the town, please do not hesitate to contact us. 

For questions specific to trash pick up, please call the waste management company directly.

The Town of Thorntown offers a recycling collection center at the south end of Front Street. Please follow all rules posted on the recycling dumpster.
