Thorntown Utility Water Customers:
The BOIL ORDER will continue as we were unsuccessful in finding a lab that would test on the weekend. we will not have any results back until Monday, July 14th.
PLEASE CONTINUE TO BOIL
Again, you may shower, do laundry with hot water and dishes with hot water. DO NOT DRINK THE WATER until we get an "All Clear".
Not what we had hoped for at all.
Questions or concerns, please contact the Utility Office, 765-436-2627.

The repairs to the damaged water main have been made. It will take some time for the pressure to rebuild.
Since he main was broken, Thorntown Utility Water customers are under a Boil Order. DO NOT DRINK OR INGEST the water until we receive an ALL-CLEAR from the State. This can last from 24-48 hours. Since this falls close to a weekend, the State labs will not test on Saturday. We are looking for another lab to test on Saturday. Otherwise, this could last until Monday, July 14th.
The Boone County Health Dept. has generously donated 250 cases of bottled water. They are in the utility office. Please stop in if you are in need to get through this situation.
If you have elderly neighbors, please check on them and let them know of the BOIL ORDER.

There has been a water main break beside the Fire Department, Grant St., and SR 75. Currently materials are being brought in for the repair.
We do not know how long this repair will take.
We apologize for this inconvenience.
