Boone County Happenings

8/25/2025

September is one of the most exciting times of the year in Boone County, with a full lineup of festivals and events for every interest. The Zionsville Lions Club Fall Festival kicks things off, followed by Taste of the Maze at Dull’s Tree Farm, the always-popular Back to the Fifties Festival, and the Festival of the Turning Leaves. The Harvest 50—Boone County’s signature gravel cycling event—celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, while the 5th Annual North Indy Farm Crawl invites visitors to explore local farms. Fall farmers markets and Music on the Plaza add even more ways to savor the season.

Another can’t-miss tradition is Polo at Sunset at Hickory Hall Polo Club. For more than 20 years, Friday night matches have brought the “Sport of Kings” to Indiana, pairing thrilling polo action with a mission of giving back. Each week highlights a different charitable organization, making every match a chance to enjoy time with family and friends while supporting great causes. The season runs through the end of September, and match details can be found on the Hickory Hall Polo Club website.
